Brian Walker is a barrister at the NSW Bar who was formerly a Federal Prosecutor for the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions where he was involved in the prosecution of sex crimes, such as the prosecution of Croation soccer star Marko Simic, as well as large scale drug matters, including the importation of approximately 300kg of ephedrine imported into Australia in highlighters.
Prior to being a Federal Prosecutor, Brian worked for the Australian Federal Police as a lawyer. He represented the Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police in NSW Supreme Court matters involving proceeds of crime including the forfeiture of approximately $220,000 in The Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police [2018] NSWSC 1737, and approximately $400,000 in another matter Application by the Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police [2018] NSWSC 1302.
Brian has represented people charged with drug, violence, fraud, sexual offences, amongst many other types of crimes. Brian has appeared in the NSW Children’s court, NSW Local Court, NSW District Court, NSW Supreme Court as well as court’s interstate.
